Junior Kindergarten/Kindergarten (JKK) Program Fees

For JKK kids enrolled at our Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) locations.

RisingOaks Early Learning has joined the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program. For more details, visit https://risingoaks.ca/cwelcc-10-day.

There are two types of fees:

  • Base Fees
  • Non-Base Fees

Base Fees include the following 2 components:

  • daily child care fees as noted in the chart below. (Note that a customer deposit may be charged and will be applied to your base fees in your last month of care.)
  • a $9.45 non-refundable registration fee charged upon first enrolment with RisingOaks Early Learning.

Non-Base Fees
Non-Base Fees include those which are discretionary for optional programming or fees that only apply in certain circumstances.

  • At the current time, the following non-base fees may apply:
    • NSF/Bank Services Charge, $30 per returned payment
    • Camp cancellation fees, if applicable (see Summer Camp for more details)

School-age Program Fees

For kids, Grades 1 to 6 (up to age 12), enrolled at our Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) locations.

Non-Base Fees

Fee Schedule Notes:
  • The above fees were approved by the Board of Directors on July 12, 2024. These fees take effect on September 1, 2024 for the 2024-25 school year.
  • The Board of Directors reserves the right to make changes to these fees at their discretion. Notice of 45 days will be given informing parents of any changes.
  • The Registration Fee is also incldued as a Base Fee. For CWELCC-eligible progfams, the new registration fee is $9.45. For School-age programs, the Registration Fee is $20.00
  • Fees for JKK (before school, after school and PA Days) have been reduced by a total of 52.75% (of original base fees prior to CWELCC) or to the stated minimum fee of $12.00 for children 6 years of age and younger.
  • For before/after school, JKK children who turn 6 before June 30 will have the reduced rate until June 30. Those who turn 6 after June 30 will be eligible until the end of the month in which they turn 6.
  • RisingOaks Summer Camp program for children in JK to Grade 2 will be offered. Children <6 years will receive the CWELCC discounted rate until the end of the month in which they turn 6 years of age. A fee increase, approved by the board of directors on November 14, 2023, has been levied on Summer Camp 2024 for children 6+ years of age.
Payment Policies
  • Fees are calculated on a daily basis and charged based on scheduled/registered days.
    • Programs are offered on a full or part-time basis, with a minimum of 2 days per week, per program.
  • Fees are not charged on statutory holidays nor during the Christmas closure.
  • Fees are invoiced monthly at the beginning of the month and paid through pre-authorized debit. Your monthly fees will fluctuate month to month based on your child's scheduled days that month.
  • Monthly fees are divided into 2 equal payments, with 50% debited from your bank account on the 1st and the remainder on the 15th of each month.
  • NEW! Starting in September 2024, RisingOaks is moving to an Opt-In approach for PA Days, Winter Break and March Break. 
    • Rather than being pre-scheduled/ billed, and having to Opt-Out to avoid being charged, parents who require care will need to schedule their child for PA Days, Winter Break and March Break days via the Digibot Parent Portal.
    • Only those scheduled will be charged.
    • The daily fee for PA Days, Winter Break and March Break for the 2024-25 school-year will be $40.

  • Those not attending a RisingOaks Early Learning before or after school program may be eligible to attend on non-intstructional days at the daily rate.

  • RisingOaks does not issue credits for sick days, vacation days, or any unexpected centre closures.

  • Two weeks' notice (or 10 business days) is required to withdraw from the before or after school program or to change your scheduled days, space permitting. If less notice is provided, full fees will be charged for the full 10-day notice period.

  • Summer Camp fees and cancellation policies are outlined at the time of summer camp registration.
Methods of Payment

Pre-authorized Debit (PAD) is the primary method of payment. On a case-by-case basis, post-dated cheques or e-transfer may be approved.
