Registered Early Childhood Educator

Salary Range:

• $28.82 - $29.82 per hour ($56,252 - $58,152 per annum). Includes a Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant (PWEG) of up to $2/hour for in-ratio hours, based on the terms and conditions outlined by the Ministry of Education.

Job Summary:

• The Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) collaborates closely with all other members of the program team to provide nurturing play-based early learning to support each child in realizing their potential while giving families peace of mind.
• Job duties are performed in accordance with RisingOaks' Program Statement, policies, values and beliefs, the Child Care and Early Years Act and the College of ECEs Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, under the supervision of the centre Supervisor.
• Under the supervision of a RECE, plan and implement a program that will meet the developmental, social, emotional and physical needs of each child.
• Under the supervision of a RECE, form and maintain a positive relationship with parents, co-workers, student teachers and professionals from other organizations.

Working with RisingOaks Early Learning
Your total compensation package will include your base salary (paid hourly), PWEG, paid sick and personal days, RRSP matching program and a comprehensive benefits program. In addition to vacation entitlement, we have a paid Christmas closure.

Qualifications:

• Early Childhood Education Diploma
• Registration, in good standing, of the College of Early Childhood Educators
• Practicum experience in a child care setting gained through post-secondary program or equivalent
• A clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required
• Standard First Aid and CPR (level C) training

• Once hired, encouraged to enroll in the Child Practitioner Apprenticeship program.
• Some experience with children and/or youth is an asset

Cook

Job Summary:

• Contribute ideas and suggestions during menu planning sessions based Canada’s Food Guide.
• Responsible for the purchase of food items and cleaning supplies within the budget outlined by RisingOaks Early Learning Ontario.
• Responsible for the preparation of quality meals and snacks following the set menu and portion control documentation.
• Responsible to maintain sanitary conditions in the kitchen and eating areas following procedures outlined by the governing regulations.

Working with RisingOaks Early Learning
Your total compensation package will include your base salary (paid hourly), paid sick and personal days, RRSP matching program and a comprehensive benefits program. In addition to vacation entitlement, we have a paid Christmas closure.

Base Salary: $24.65 - $5.65 per hour 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Standard First Aid and CPR (level C) training
• A clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 1:30 pm (with 30-min unpaid break)

Casual Employee/Educator (CE)

Job Summary:

• To provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children enrolled with RisingOaks Early Learning Ontario.
• To support the planning and implementation of a program that will meet the developmental, social, emotional and physical needs of each child.
• To form and maintain a positive relationships with parents, co-workers, student teachers and professionals from other organizations.
• To maintain a high standard of care following RisingOaks' policies and procedures and the Child Care & Early Years Act regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age and older
• A clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required
• Must have a valid Standard First Aid/CPR certificate
• Be willing to travel to multiple RisingOaks' centres for work
• Comfortable working with various groups of children from birth to age 12.
• An Early Childhood Education diploma is preferred. Other work with children will be considered.
