Objectives: To further explore the infants interest in the birds we share the playground with.
Familiar chirping and birds coming and going from the playground awning sparked an initial interest in birds. The infants took part in filling feeders with seeds and delighted in watching the birds through the classroom windows. They took part in walks through the forest, searching for signs of different types of birds. Working with the educators, the children created their own bird feeders to be hung in tress at home and in the community.
