Objectives: To explore and expand the preschooler’s knowledge about Doctors.
Ongoing observations of the preschool children role-playing; doctors and nurses, providing their peers with flu shots, Covid tests, taking temperatures and providing diagnoses of "you are sick,” sparked a desire to learn more. The children were reflecting and engaging on the experiences in their lives at the time and expressing those experiences through Play.
We began our doctor project to further engage and promote their curiosity the preschool group participate and contribute in their learning. Building on their current knowledge together as co-learners, we explore the topic of Doctors.
Through the use of books, the internet and a visit from Dr. A, we were able to answer the preschool groups questions and learn so much about the human body.
