FROGS!

Program Name: Toddler 1

Once the weather started getting warmer and we could go on walks again, our program went quite frequently down to the pond. We saw a few ducks and geese but we really wanted to see frogs. We had a few children that kept asking if they could see the frogs. We talked about how frogs sleep deep under the water during the winter time. Last week we went on a walk in the nice warm weather to see if we could find some frogs! “Are the frogs awake now? They aren’t sleeping” said one child. We headed down to the pond to check it out. Sure enough when we got down there we saw 2 frogs! One was big and green, and the other one jumped into the water and swam away. “Wow, froggy is swimming so fast!” said another child. Once we watched the frogs for a while and didn’t see any more we decided to say goodbye and head back to the center. On our way we could hear some loud construction noises. We stopped to listen, then realized they were right on the other side of the forest! So of course we made a stop to watch the construction site on our way back. They were just lifting the roof onto the house! “Big crane lifting” said one very excited child. We are so excited to go on more adventures to see frogs and construction!
