Program Name: School-age 3

This month in School Age 3, children have been actively engaged in meaningful Black History Month activities that encouraged learning, creativity, and important conversations about diversity, identity, and community.

Throughout the week, children participated in a variety of hands-on experiences including art projects, storytelling, and group discussions focused on celebrating Black culture and recognizing the important contributions Black individuals have made throughout history and continue to make today. The children showed strong interest and enthusiasm as they explored themes such as fairness, kindness, inclusion, and respect.

Some of the activities included creating artwork inspired by Black leaders and cultural symbols, listening to stories that highlight Black voices and experiences, sharing thoughtful discussions about equality and celebrating differences and collaborative crafts that reflected unity.

Children were also engaged in creating special handmade cards for their families. They took their time designing, decorating, and writing thoughtful messages to show love and appreciation. This activity supported children’s creativity, fine motor skills, and encouraged them to express gratitude and kindness in a meaningful way.
