Age: 2.5 to 5 years of age

Owl's preschool program is offered at all locations on a full-time or part-time basis. Parents may choose the option of enrolling their child for 2, 3, 4 or 5 full days per week. If choosing less than 5 days per week, the days must be standard for each week (e.g., every Tuesday and Thursday).

Our educators are friendly, compassionate and truly care about the children. They are also all registered members of the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators. They work with each family to make a smooth transition to Owl and support school readiness.

As a parent, you are your child’s first teacher. Owl aims to create a partnership with families and provides support in positive behaviour guidance, self-regulation, toilet training and other areas to help meet the individual needs of your child.

Every day, a smiling face and home-like environment greet your preschooler as they walk through the door of their classroom. At Owl, children learn based on their interests in the areas of creativity, language, physical activity, numeracy, social development and science.

This includes lots of outdoor play, twice a day when the weather allows. Our playgrounds are full of activities that allow your child to explore their natural environment and to spark their curiosity.

Educators plan field trips and opportunities for field study and research that allow children to further investigate the world around them and emerging topics.

Our on-site cooks prepare healthy morning and afternoon snacks, and a home-cooked lunch every day, so you know your child is having nutritious meals.

After a full morning and a healthy lunch, the lights are lowered, and soft music plays as preschoolers lay down for a well-deserved nap or enjoy a quiet time based on their individual sleep plan.

Learning and project documentation is on display throughout the classroom, including photos, direct quotes from the children and much more. Learning stories are also shared through our monthly e-news.

Safety is a priority at Owl, starting with a secured entrance with key-fob access at each centre. In addition, our educators are trained in Standard First Aid & CPR, the use of Epi-Pens, and other programs as required in our Individual Support Plans.

At Owl Child Care, we give families peace of mind; Every child is valued and reaches their full potential. We look forward to meeting you. Contact us today to book a tour at one of our many locations.
