The AECEO is the professional association for ECEs and its primary purpose is to advocate for respect, recognition and appropriate wages and working conditions for all ECEs.

Child Care Now is dedicated to advocating for a publicly funded, inclusive, quality, non-profit child care system. Our organization is non-profit, membership-based and regionally representative.

  • The Affordable Child Care for All Plan (PDF)
    Child care for all by 2030 : The Affordable Child Care for All Plan takes a long-term, phased approach to building the solid universal child care system Canada needs. The Plan provides for an increase in Canada’s federal ELCC budget to $1 billion in 2020, and a further increase of $1 billion each year for ten years so as to meet the internationally recommended spending benchmark and achieve the goal of affordable, high-quality, inclusive child care for all across Canada.

Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care (OCBCC)

Ontario’s central advocacy group for a universal early childhood education and care system. We want: low fees or no fees for parents; decent work and pay for educators; and an expansion of public and non-profit services.

Formed in 1981, the OCBCC is a member organization comprising local child care centres, national and provincial groups and individuals from all across Ontario. Our members are educators, parents, grandparents, centre directors and trade unionists.

Government Relations Advisory

Owl is currently recruiting members to join a new Government Relations Advisory Commitee. This group will provide strategic advice to management and assist in formulating a government relations strategy for Owl Child Care that focusses on advocacy and influencing government child care policies and resources.
